Janne Järvenoja is a seasoned Finnish expert in legal technology, compliance, governance, and risk management, with a rare ability to bridge regulatory strategy, operational leadership, and modern technology. He has advised and led in highly regulated sectors including telecom, IT, SaaS, pharma, medical device and energy, working at the intersection of legal, ESG, and technology. With over two decades of experience, Janne has built and led companies, negotiated complex commercial and regulatory frameworks, and implemented governance systems for major players in Finland and internationally.
Janne has served as Compliance Officer and Legal Counsel at Elisa, supported Gartner's legal operations, and was Head of Legal at M-Files. He is the founder of NordCheck, a pioneering company focused on ESG and compliance system development. He currently advises a LegalTech AI startup on GRC innovations and compliance transformation. In these roles, he has supported AI and CLM procurement, regulatory integration, international transactions, and legal operations strategy. Janne holds Master of Laws degrees from both the University of Helsinki and the University of California, Berkeley. His expertise includes EU data and AI regulation, trade compliance, privacy, ESG (including CSRD and the EU Battery Regulation), and IP.
